El piloto también respeta Global Privacy Control y Do Not Track.

Política de privacidad de PostHog

What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Talya Roofing LLC (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on talyaroofing.com. It is a companion document to our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (language, login state, consent choices) and to measure how the site is used.

Categories we use

  • Strictly Necessary — required for the site to function: the language the site served you, your cookie consent choice, and the token that keeps one chat conversation tied to the browser that opened it. These are always active and cannot be disabled.
  • Always on, but not strictly necessary — one item does not fit the category above and we will not pretend that it does. talya_vid is a random ID our server gives your browser on its very first request. The site renders without it; we use it to verify a chat lead and to join a chat conversation to a contact form in our customer records — enquiry handling and attribution, not page delivery. It is set before the banner appears and rejecting does not switch it off, which is why it is listed on its own here rather than folded into “necessary”. It is HttpOnly and is never sent to Google, Meta, Umami or Apollo.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used. It loads on every visit, but it can only store a cookie or an ID on your device after you accept. What it does before that is described under “Before you make a choice” below. A second, cookieless counter, Umami, loads only if you accept Analytics.
  • Marketing — Meta (Facebook) Pixel measures the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and Apollo.io works out which organisation a visitor belongs to. Both are used only with your explicit consent. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, marketing cookies are automatically disabled regardless of your selection.

Before you make a choice

Google Analytics loads on every visit, including when you close or ignore the banner. Until you accept, it is held in Google’s “denied” consent state, which means it measures the visit without storing anything on your device: no _ga cookie, no advertising identifier, and nothing that survives the page. Google does stamp each page load with a throwaway ID so the events on that one load hang together; it is regenerated on your next page view and never written to your device, so it cannot be used to recognize you later or on any other site. The one exception is the page load on which you press Accept: that same ID is the value then written into the _ga cookie, so from that moment on it does recognize your browser. What we get is a count of page views, which page you arrived from, a coarse location, your browser and device type, and whether the visit ended in a call or a form.

We are not calling that invisible. Your IP address reaches Google in order to deliver the request, the same as for any server that sends you a page, and Google uses it to derive the coarse location. Google’s own documentation states that Analytics does not log or store IP addresses for visitors in the EU, Switzerland and the UK (EU, Switzerland, or UK-focused data and privacy). It publishes no equivalent commitment for visitors elsewhere, including the United States, and we are not going to make one on Google’s behalf. We rely on this measurement to answer one question we otherwise cannot answer at all: how many people find us and how many of them call.

If you accept, Google Analytics may set the cookie and ID listed below, so repeat visits are recognized as the same browser, and the marketing tools load if you allowed Marketing. If you reject, the denied state stays in place: the same cookieless measurement from Google, and nothing else — Umami, Meta and Apollo are never loaded, and anything our site had queued for Umami while you were undecided is discarded instead of being sent. Umami is cookieless, but it is still a second company receiving a copy of your visit, so it loads only if you accept Analytics.

Two things are placed on your device before you answer, whatever you go on to answer. NEXT_LOCALE records the language the page was served in and is deleted when you close your browser. talya_vid, described in the table below, is a random 30-day ID for your browser. Our chat widget also writes a few items into your browser’s own storage on first load — see “Storage that is not a cookie” below.

Cookies in detail

NameProviderCategoryPurposeDuration
NEXT_LOCALEtalyaroofing.comNecessaryRecords which language version (en / es / tr) the site served you, so later pages stay in the same language. Set on your first request, before the banner appears.Session — deleted when you close your browser
talya_consent_v1talyaroofing.comNecessaryStores your cookie consent choices so we do not ask again on every visit. Held in local storage in your browser rather than in a cookie, so it is never sent to our server.Until cleared
talya_chat_bind_v1talyaroofing.comNecessarySigned token tying one chat conversation to the browser that opened it, so nobody else can post a lead into your conversation. Written only if you use the chat widget, sent only to our chat endpoint, and unreadable by any script on the page.2 hours
talya_vidtalyaroofing.comAlways onA random ID for your browser, set by our server on your very first request — before the banner appears, and whatever you go on to choose. The chat widget requires it to confirm that a lead form came from the same browser that held the conversation, and in our customer records it links that conversation to a contact form you send afterwards. It is HttpOnly, so no script on the page can read it, and it is not shared with Google, Meta, Umami or Apollo.30 days
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4AnalyticsRecognizes a returning browser so repeat visits count as one person. Only set after you accept Analytics.2 years
(no cookie)Umami Cloud (umami.is)AnalyticsA second, cookieless visit counter. It loads only if you accept Analytics — never while you are undecided, and never if you reject. It reports the address of the page you are on, the page that referred you, and basic browser, screen and language details to gateway.umami.is; as with any request to any server, your IP address reaches Umami in order to deliver it.Sets no cookie
_fbpMeta (Facebook Pixel)MarketingMeasures the effectiveness of advertising. Only set if you explicitly enable Marketing cookies.90 days
apolloAnonId (local storage)Apollo.ioMarketingApollo is a B2B visitor-identification tracker. It loads only if you enable Marketing cookies, reports the pages you view to assets.apollo.io and aplo-evnt.com, and is used to work out which organisation a visitor belongs to. It stores an anonymous ID and a queue of pending events in local storage rather than in a cookie.Until cleared

Google Analytics IDs: G-Y1Z9GLFFV1, G-RWFCQQL6C8. Meta Pixel ID: 4239887142908764.

Storage that is not a cookie

This policy covers cookies and similar technologies, so the items below belong here even though none of them is a cookie. They live in your own browser’s storage, are readable only by this site, and are never transmitted to our server with your page requests.

  • Chat widget, written on first load, before you answer the banner: talya_chat_last_visit (when you were last here, so the widget can greet a returning visitor) and talya_chat_history (the last 50 messages of your conversation, so it is still there if you come back). If you give the chat your name or say what you are interested in, it also keeps talya_chat_user_name, talya_chat_user_interest, talya_chat_session_id and talya_chat_lead_captured. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of them.
  • Your consent record: talya_consent_v1 — the choice you made and when.
  • For the length of the browser tab only: talya_utm (the campaign tags in the link you arrived on) and talya_pending_lead_conversions_v1 (a call or form we have not finished counting yet — it holds no name, email or phone number, and it is discarded rather than sent to a tool you declined).
  • Convenience, if you use the feature: talya-roofing-recent-searches (your last five blog searches) and talya_chat_panel_size (how you resized the chat window).
  • Only if you enable Marketing: Apollo stores apolloAnonId plus its own event queue and referrer entries.

Your choices

When you first visit our site you see a banner that lets you Accept All, Reject All, or Customize cookies. You can change your choices any time:

You can also clear cookies and site data for talyaroofing.com in your browser to reset all consent and see the banner again. Cookies alone are not enough: your choice is kept in local storage, not in a cookie.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal. If your browser sends GPC, we automatically treat it as an opt-out for sale and cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act, Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and similar laws. Marketing cookies are disabled and locked off in your preferences.

Legal basis

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics and marketing cookies. Measurement that stores nothing on your device and does not identify you — the denied-state measurement described above — rests instead on our legitimate interest in knowing how the site performs (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); you can object to it by contacting us at the address below. For visitors in the United States, we provide opt-out / opt-in mechanisms in line with the CCPA/CPRA, Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and other applicable state laws.

Third parties

Five outside companies are covered by this policy, including the optional PostHog pilot. Google Analytics runs on every visit, in the denied state described above until you accept. Umami, a second and cookieless visit counter, runs only if you accept Analytics. Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Apollo.io — the latter a B2B service that identifies which organisation a visitor belongs to - run only if you enable Marketing. If enabled, PostHog will run only after a new Analytics consent choice, as described above. Their privacy policies apply in addition to ours:

Changes to this policy

If we materially change which cookies we use or why, we will update this page and ask for fresh consent through the banner.
